BY NASHO JORGAQI In Tirana in the late 1950s and early 1960s, a lively literary life was taking place. Several generations of writers were creating at the same time, and this could not help but make the artistic atmosphere interesting and somewhat intriguing. Although some of the outstanding names of Albanian literature from the older generation were absent, because they had either passed away, been politically targeted, or been sidelined, there were still well-known writers of that generation present, such as H. Stermi[?], M.S. [Gurra?], A. Sllan[?], N. Bulka, S. Spasse, V. Kokona, etc. But it would not be they who gave the tone to literary life. It was the generation of writers belonging to the 1930s and participants in the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War, such as Dh. Shuteriqi, Sh. Musaraj, A. Varfi, K. Jakova, etc., joined by younger names such as F. Gjata, Ll. Siliqi, A. Abdihoxha, L. Qafezi, K. Trebeshina, Q. Buxheli, etc. Among them, Jakov’s name would also be placed among the last. I then came from a very young generation that was trying to make its debut in literature by appearing in the press with poems, sketches and various stories. This generation included young writers from the capital such as D. Siliqi, S. Vaçari, M. Myftiu, M. Hanxhari, etc., ... On page 2
